1. What Atlas is

Atlas is a tool for pilots to compile, sign, and archive their flying. Atlas reads third-party aircraft position data, applies a deterministic ledger, and produces signed canonical records you can cite, export, and share on your terms.

Atlas is not a flight planning tool. Atlas is not an avionics system. Atlas is not a replacement for an FAA-approved logbook. Atlas records are evidence; legal log-of-record compliance is your responsibility.

2. Your account

You must provide a working email address, your aircraft's tail number, and the aircraft's ICAO24 hex identifier at signup. You are responsible for the accuracy of these values. You agree not to register an aircraft you do not own or operate.

You may have one Atlas account per email address. You may register multiple aircraft under a single account.

3. Subscriptions and payment

Atlas offers a free tier and paid tiers. Subscriptions are billed via Stripe. Card data is handled by Stripe under Stripe's terms; Atlas never sees your card number.

You can cancel a paid subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Atlas does not refund unused portions of a billing period except where required by law.

Founder tier (where offered) is a one-time payment that grants the paid tier for the lifetime of Atlas, subject to Atlas continuing to operate.

4. Data and accuracy

Atlas displays flight data sourced from third-party providers, primarily FlightAware. Atlas does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of provider data. Track gaps, position dropouts, and missing flights are facts of the upstream data, not Atlas failures.

Atlas signs every canonical flight record so the record's contents cannot be silently rewritten. The signature attests that Atlas stored what it stored; it does not warrant that the upstream data was correct.

5. Privacy and sharing

Your data is private by default. See the Privacy Policy for the full posture. You control all share surfaces explicitly. Atlas will refuse to publish a share that would expose home-base, employer, or contractor-pattern signals.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

7. No warranty

Atlas is provided "as is" and "as available". Atlas does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available on any particular schedule. Atlas does not warrant that flight data displayed in Atlas is suitable for any purpose, including but not limited to operational decision-making, legal proceedings, or regulatory submissions.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Atlas and Centennial Defense Systems are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Atlas. Atlas's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid Atlas in the twelve months preceding the claim, or USD $100, whichever is greater.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; in those jurisdictions Atlas's liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.

9. Termination

You may cancel and delete your account at any time. Atlas may suspend or terminate your account for material violation of these terms, with notice when practicable. On termination Atlas will preserve your data export rights for 30 days unless legally compelled to delete immediately.

10. Changes to these terms

Atlas may update these terms. Material changes will be announced via email to the address on your account at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

11. Dispute resolution

Disputes are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflicts-of-law principles. Disputes shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration in Colorado Springs, Colorado, except that either party may bring a claim in small claims court for matters within that court's jurisdiction. Class actions and class arbitrations are waived to the extent permitted by law.

Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief for intellectual property infringement or breach of confidentiality.
